Perm hosted the international teleconference "Perm-Minsk"
Perm is one of the Russian cities that actively develops international cooperation. Our city has long-standing friendship with the Republic of Belarus and Minsk.
In honor of the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and Belarus, a teleconference "Perm-Minsk" was held on April 2. The international teleconference was held for the second time, during which representatives of city administrations and heads of municipal institutions exchanged experience in the field of education and culture. Also among the participants were creative groups from both cities and students of secondary schools and art schools.
Recall that the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Grigorievich Lukashenko supported the initiative to declare 2025 the Year of the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War - the Year of Peace and Unity in the Fight against Nazism. In anticipation of the teleconference, educational institutions held joint events among schoolchildren dedicated to the partisan movement, the feat of the heroes of Operation Bagration, the unique tank unit - the Ural Volunteer Tank Corps, as well as the labor feat in the rear. In addition, a joint project "80 Moments of Victory" is currently being implemented, in which five schools of Russia and the Republic of Belarus are participating. Teachers and students of five schools of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, including MAOU "Secondary School No. 55 named after twice Hero of the Soviet Union G.F. Sivkov" of the city of Perm and State Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 186 of the city of Minsk named after P.A. Rotmistrov", share their favorite lines about the heroic years, the life and fate of the generation of victors.
As part of the teleconference, an Agreement on Cooperation between the city libraries of Minsk and Perm was signed. The Perm side donated 100 books to the funds of Minsk libraries. The collection includes books about Perm, about the contribution of Perm residents to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and books by Perm authors.
In the evening, Perm residents and guests of our city saw a special thematic illumination of the Perm city administration building in the colors of the Russian and Belarusian flags.
